The first award we won was the Market Development – Export Award. This award recognizes a company’s recent sales growth and business development in markets outside Val-d’Or. The implementation of an innovative development strategy is also taken into account: exporting products or services, acquisitions, setting up distribution centers, entering a new market or expanding the current market, export strategy targeting an international market, innovative marketing strategy, etc. This is the second consecutive year that we have won this award, which makes us very proud and confirms that our development efforts are on the right track. In fact, a few weeks ago, we opened a service branch in the Greater Sudbury area and have another opening planned in Western Canada. These new branches complement our service offering across Canada.
The second award we won was the Filon Jeune Entreprise. This award is given to a company founded less than five years ago that stands out for its overall management and its development and growth strategy. The spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity of the company’s leaders were criteria considered by the Gala judging panel. Winning this award is a great honor, considering that our company was founded in September 2015 and that we have been able to achieve such a high level of excellence so quickly. We also have a young workforce, with the majority of our staff aged between 25 and 45. The turnover rate is relatively low, with the vast majority of our employees having worked at HydroTech Mining for over a year (all directors and managers for at least three years).
